MORE ABOUT ME
A New Beginning
Traveling was always something I believed was out of my grasp. I never truly thought traveling was something I could do. I viewed travel as if it was a fantasy. As a child traveling consisted of a family reunion or two in Virginia or visiting my step mother's family in Sumter, South Carolina. But, it was never an annual adventure.
When I became a mother I thought I needed to wait until my daughter grew up before I could travel and explore the world. I thought I wasn't rich enough or I was too broke to save up to go somewhere else for fun. Honestly, I did not see African American families traveling for leisure.
At some point I thought I couldn't wait for life to pass me by. I could no longer wait for another make believe unrealistic self imposed milestone to occur in order for me to get up and go with a my family in tow. Join me as I blog about my faith, family, and travel. Hopefully, this blog inspires you to find something within that grows your faith as you nurture your family, and experience the world together.
